Why do I need a firmware update?

A firmware update is sometimes required to be able to run the latest games and to ensure proper functionality of your modchip.This guide will run you through the process of updating the firmware on your WODE to the latest version in order to fix any game compatibility or functionality issues. Lets get started.

Required:

• Latest WODE Firmware (download)
• SD Card (16MB Minimum)

Instructions:

1. Unzip the WODE firmware file you downloaded and place the update.bin file on the root directory of the SD card.
2. With your Wii turned off, insert the SD card into the WODE. (Attention: SD card should slide in very easily DO NOT FORCE IT IN)
3. Now turn on your Wii and the screen should indicate that the WODE is updating. This will take about 10-15 minutes, do not turn off your Wii during the process. Damage could occur to the chip.
4. Once the WODE returns to the main menu the update is complete. Simply remove the SD card and your back in business.
